Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Unplayist (the “Service”): our website and our Android app distributed via Google Play. By creating an account, installing the app, or browsing the website, you agree to be bound by them.

1. The Service

Unplayist provides audio unplays of non-fiction books, with action plans, mind maps, FAQs, and related study aids. We create, commission, or license this material; we do not sell the underlying books.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA) to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure, because that is how you sign in to Unplayist.

3. Pricing

Unplayist is currently free. We do not run third-party advertising in the app. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will:

announce the change in-app at least 14 days in advance;
disclose the price and any free-tier limits clearly before you pay;
process payments through the relevant store (Google Play Billing on Android) or a payment processor we identify at checkout.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

resell, re-host, or commercially redistribute our unplays;
use automated tools to scrape, copy, or harvest the catalog;
attempt to disrupt the Service’s availability (e.g. denial-of-service attacks);
reverse-engineer the app to extract licensed material.

5. Comments you post

You can post comments on a book’s page. You keep ownership of what you write, and you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display it within the Service.

Every comment is reviewed by a moderator before it appears, and nothing is published automatically. We remove content — and, for repeat or severe breaches, suspend the account behind it — when it:

harasses, threatens, or bullies anyone, or attacks a person or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, nationality, gender, or sexual orientation;
is sexually explicit, or depicts or glorifies violence;
promotes illegal activity, or sells regulated goods or services;
is spam, advertising, a scam, or a link posted to drive traffic elsewhere;
impersonates someone else, or publishes another person’s private information;
infringes someone’s copyright or other rights.

If you see a published comment that breaks these rules, tap Report beneath it and tell us what is wrong. Reports are private, reach a moderator directly, and we act on them — usually within one business day. You can also email unplayist@gmail.com.

6. Intellectual property

Unplays, audio, and visuals on Unplayist are either created by us, licensed from third parties, or used under applicable fair-use principles. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use them while your account is in good standing.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time (see Account Deletion). We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

8. Disclaimers and liability

Educational content only. Unplays are editorial commentary and analysis of published books, offered for general education. Nothing on Unplayist is professional advice. Some titles we cover discuss money, health, psychology, or careers; our unplays of them are not financial, medical, legal, or therapeutic advice, and we do not provide any advisory, diagnostic, or treatment service. Always consult a qualified professional before acting on anything you read or hear here. If you are in crisis or facing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.

The Service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties. Because Unplayist is currently free, our liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.

9. Changes

We may revise these terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced in-app or via email at least 14 days in advance.
